Box #2: Home Chef

Our HomeChef delivery arrived on a Friday, while we were at work.  Since Jesse's office is close by, he ran home at lunch and unpacked the box.  If you order a meal kit, I definitely recommend signing up for UPS or FedEx alerts, so you'll know when deliveries are on their way and when they arrive.
Upon opening the
box, the recipe cards are sitting on the top.  The recipe cards are 3-hole punched, so you can keep them in a binder if you wanted to save them.
Under the top later of insulation are individually wrapped packages of ingredients.  Each meal is in it's own clear plastic bag and clearly labeled with a sticker.   They don't stack up in the fridge as nicely as Hello Fresh kits, but at least all the ingredients are together.  Below bags is a layer of ice packs and underneath that, the meats.   Unless we're eating it that day, we always throw all the meats into the freezer to be on the safe side. The meals in my first Home Chef box are Spaghetti with Ricotta Meatballs, Chicken Adobo Tacos, Sherry Wine Demi-Glace Flat Iron Steak and Charred Caprese Tartine.
